Samsung Galaxy Watch Release Date

Alongside the Galaxy Note 9, the Samsung Galaxy Watch had its official release date on August 24 in the US. It is set to have its launching on September 6 in the United Kingdom while Australia will need to wait a bit longer as it may not come until October for the Land Down Under.

 

As to the LTE versions of the hot Galaxy Watch Samsung is said to be making it available this September. This means though that you will need to avail an LTE plan and will cost you an extra $50 premium upfront and subjects you for monthly fees.

How much Will Samsung’s SmartWatch Cost?

The Samsung Galaxy Watch comes in two variations - the smaller one that comes with 42mm case size and the bigger one with 46 mm case size. The 42 mm watch which will cost around $379 while the 46 mm watch will be available at $399.

Samsung Galaxy Watch – The Design and Display

As mentioned, the latest Galaxy Watch comes in two sizes. The 46 mm variation has a dimension of 46 x 49 x 13 mm and weighs 63 g without the strap. It comes in silver color and features a 1.3 inches display.

 

On the other hand, the 42 mm variation only weighs 49 g without the strap and has a dimension of 41.9 x 45.7 x 12.7 mm. It is available in Midnight Black and Rose Gold colors and features a screen display of 1.2 inches.

 

Both variations come with 360 x 360 screen resolution with the same Corning Gorilla DX+ protective glass covering.

The 46 mm watch is powered by a bigger 472 mAh battery while the 42 mm watch operates on a 270 mAh battery. The watches feature impressive battery endurance and effortless charging which will allow you to simply set it down on the wireless charging dock and the charging process will automatically start on its own.

Both smartwatches have an internal memory of 4 GB and are powered by Exynos 9110 chipset. Additionally, the Galaxy watches run in Samsung’s very own new Tizen 4.0 operating system.

 

From calories tracking to step tracking and sleep monitoring and activity tracker features, the latest Samsung wearable is equipped with multiple functions and fitness features and comes with a built-in GPS function.
