Who are Huawei
Huawei Technologies is a networking and telecommunications equipment company based in China. Founded in 1987 by Ren Zhenfei, they got their start as a manufacture of simple phone switches, but have since grown to become one of the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturers in the world (their products are currently sold in over one hundred and seventy countries, and they also serve and work together with forty-five of the world top fifty telecoms operations), and even ranked 83rd of of the Fortune Global 500 in 2017.
Huawei is also well-known for their strong focus on Research & Development; of the over 170,000 employees they have working for them, at least 70,000 of them work exclusively in R&D. Furthermore, Huawei has over twenty R&D institutes all over the world, not simply in China but also in Canada, the United States, Pakistan, Finland, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Colombia, India, Ireland, Sweden, Turkey, Israel, and Russia.
Because they are such a successful telecommunications company, it should come as no surprise that Huawei has produced a large variety of phones throughout the years. These varieties include the various Ascend series of phones (including the original Ascend series as well as the Ascend D, Ascend G, Ascend Mate, Ascend P, Ascend Q, Ascend W, Ascend X, Ascend Y, and Ascend GX series), the Nova series, the Gr series, the Y series, and the Honor series. Each of these series has various unique models as well, giving you a great deal of variety to chose from when it comes to selecting a Huawei phone.
Additionally, each phone Huawei produces is considered to be of incredibly good quality, with some of their more recent phone models being considered some of the best smart-phones currently available on the market. And while some of these newer and more advanced smart-phones from Huawei also come with fairly high price tags, it’s generally agreed upon that the high quality of the phones (along with the many features they offer) makes the higher cost well worth it.
Additionally, if you want a Huawei phone but don’t want to purchase one of the more expensive newer models, you can always opt to buy an older model, which will likely be cheaper. Also, while some of the older phone series are no longer being produced, it is still possible to purchase unlocked and refurbished versions of certain phone types, both old and new, if you go to the right vendors. Here at Handtec, for example, we offer refurbished Huawei versions of certain models like the Huawei Nexus 6P, the Huawei P20, and the Huawei P8. The P20 in particular is said to be an excellent phone (in fact, many buyers say it is quite possible the best phone that Huawei has ever produced, with a screen resolution of 2,244x1,080, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of built-in storage), so buying it refurbished is a great chance to obtain a fantastic phone at a lower cost (and without the hassle of needing to sign up for a long-term phone contract, as well!).
